The Easy Diagnostic Concept
helps you find the exact location
of any faults for each I/O port
thanks to the diagnostic display.
In addition, you can also access
this information via the field bus:
this makes it possible to evaluate
the details on a centralized oper-ating and display system, without
having to configure the module.
Time-consuming searches for
faults are therefore a thing of
the past, down and maintenance
times are kept to a minimum.
Universal I/O functionality
No matter what the final design of your field wiring may be, a single
I/O module is all you need to realize a whole range of different configurations.
Each signal pin can be used as both an input and an output
- without any additional configuration.

This means you can stay flexible when it
come to planning, to making changes during
implementation, and also when retrofitting
at a later date.
Four-in-one
The universal module makes
possible unlimited combinations
of inputs and outputs. In addition
to the 16 I/O version, LioN-M
can also be configured as a 16 In,
16 Out and 8 In/ 8 Out module
using the GSD or EDS file. This
feature saves I/O memory and
can replace for example a 16 In
module if a replacement part
become necessary. This simplifies
the replacement part stockpiling
process and means costs can be
cut as well.
Quick, fast and easy installation
The optimized arrangement of the M12 I/O slots means that installation
does not require "nimble fingers", even when using T connectors.
The LioN-M modules are designed for both rear and lateral installation.
It is even possible to attach directly on profile rails.
