Extensive connectivity portfolio for Ethernet-based protocols

With our Lumberg Automation product range, we are now offering you an extensive connectivity portfolio for all Ethernet-based protocols. It covers field-attachable M12 and RJ45 connectors and installation variants, as well as single- or double-ended standard molded connector versions, which support not only PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, but also EtherCat and Sercos.

This gives you flexible solutions – irrespective of the protocol in use – for end-to-end data transmission from the field level and control level to the management level.

Depending on their type, the connectors are available with an operating temperature range from as low as -40°C up to +85°C, a high level of shock and vibration resistance, and either IP 20, IP67, IP68 or IP69K industrial protection class. If you're looking for the highest possible EMC resistance, the portfolio also includes versions with 360-degree shielding. Data and control cables that are resistant to oils, coolants, lubricants and emulsions are also available by the meter.

That means you can use our Ethernet connectivity portfolio in a wide range of areas such as mechanical and plant engineering, factory and process automation, in trains and buses, or in data centers. Thanks to its unique variety of different connectors and cables, the portfolio guarantees the highest possible network availability and maximum efficiency wherever it's used.

In other words, you can transmit over PROFINET today, EtherNet/IP tomorrow and EtherCat or Sercos the day after, without changing the infrastructure. This allows you planning reliability and simple stockpiling. In addition, the Ethernet connectivity portfolio can be ideally combined with Lumberg Automation I/O modules from the LioN-M, LioN-R and LioN-Link series, as well as industrial Ethernet switches and industrial WLAN systems from our Hirschmann product range.
